Entertainment Career Services Program |

The Career Services Program aims
to prepare every candidate from the resume writing stage until they are
hired into a paid position at a studio, production company, pre- or
post-production house, new media developer, and other entertainment
industry employers.
We offer such services as a career
strategy workshop and one-on-one career coaching for individuals trying
to get their first break. WH provides resources that serve the
dynamic hiring needs in Hollywood, and we refer and place candidates
for just about any aspect of the industry.
Workplace Hollywood refers candidates based on experience and
interest by the employer. If the employer is interested,
they will either contact the candidate or Workplace Hollywood, and
an interview will be scheduled. In order to be referred to an
employer, candidates must meet in person with a Workplace Hollywood
recruiter or attend a career strategy workshop. A candidate
is automatically invited to a workshop once he/she creates a profile

We participate in events that reach thousands of people, including
community job fairs, conferences, symposia and seminars targeted toward
communities of color in Los Angeles County. To date, we have
touched thousands of individuals through community events; we have
provided training and have referred individuals to employers, resulting
in several hundred placements. Job seekers can upload their
resumes on our website---to date, we have some 3,000 individuals in our
data base and it's growing day by day.
WH partners with training non-profits
that have long and successful track records. After our
partners conduct vocational and "life skills" training, we work with
qualified individuals and provide support and counseling to help them
land jobs.
